No matter how you measure performance, the MACH16 Solid State Drive will outperform the expectations. The MACH16 Solid State Drive can achieve up to 240MB/s sustainable sequential read and 190MB/s sustainable sequential write speed.
Any data that is transferred to the drive is protected via a powerful Error Correction mechanism. For the first time in the industry, the Error Correction is also applied to the cache memory and to the spare area of the flash, the critical area that stores the mapping information. The MTBF of the MACH16 Solid State Drive is 2,800,000 hours, twice as much as the best-in-class HDD. The non-recoverable error rate is less than 1 error per 1020 bits read.
The MACH16 Solid State Drive employs both hardware and software mechanisms to prevent data loss in case of power fluctuation or power loss. The hardware protection prolongs power long enough to transfer all the data from the cache to the non-volatile memory. The software protection assures data integrity by verifying that valid data are not overwritten by corrupted data.
Given that there are no moving parts and thanks to the optimized sub-system design, the MACH16 Solid State Drive can withstand extreme environmental conditions. The drive will survive Random Vibrations up to 16.3G and Operating Shocks up to 1,500G. Relative humidity can ranges from 5% up to 95% and altitude goes from 1,000ft (-304.80m) up to 80,000ft (24,384m).
The MACH16 Solid State Drive supports the S.M.A.R.T. feature (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology). The S.M.A.R.T. feature set protects the user from unscheduled downtime by monitoring and storing critical drive performance and calibration parameters. No unscheduled down-time is drastically reducing the total cost of ownership.
